LA PALENTINA nace en 1.940 en Villamuriel de Cerrato (Palencia), fruto de las inquietudes empresariales de una familia y en especial de su fundador D. MOISÉS GOMEZ MARTíNEZ.
Hoy en día sus sucesores continuarán la misma línea. con las mismas ilusiones e inquietudes y el espíritu emprendedor que caracterizaron en todo momento a su fundador.
Fruto de esas inquietudes y del mencionado espíritu, fue la creación, en 1.983, de una factoría totalmente automatizada y con tecnología de vanguardia, que se ubicó en el término municipal de Villalobón, a 2 kms. de la capital, y que desde entonces no ha cesado de modernizarse. Tanto tecnológicamente como en nuevos conceptos empresariales, lo que la ha permitido seguir en vanguardia de las industrias harineras españolas.
THE COMPANY
La Palentina was founded in 1940 in Villamuriel de Cerrato, a village not far from Palencia. Its creation was due to the entrepreneurial spirit of a local family and in particular its founder Moises Gomez Martinez. The ideas held by the founder are now carried on by his sucessors.The business philosophy of the company helped in 1983 to create a modern, fully-automated factory in the village of Villalobón, two kilometres from the provincial capital. Since then, the plant has been constantly modernised with improved technology and managerial techniques thus enabling it to remain at the forefront of the Spanish flour producing industry.
